Good Morning, Kentucky

No, I do not now have cows.  These bovines were in the pasture near a pet sitting job yesterday morning.  It was a beautiful, if windy, day.  Thunderstorms, wind, hail, rain, fire and brimstone is predicted for today, bringing a cold front.  Kentucky weather during spring can be remarkably unpredictable.

This past weekend, we counted that we were pet sitting for 36 animals at four locations!  Now that the weekend is past, I am down to 19 animals at two locations, one a barn full of cats.

Cows really are the most interesting animals aren't they
.... They just mosey around the pasture feasting on grass and producing milk and letting us know when it is going to rain by laying down ....Kentucky looks very pretty .

I have a 10 year old who would love to help you! (Well, except for the part that we're in S. Calif. ;) )

Just had a thought (first decent one of the day!) . I added the url to this post to the My Town Monday blog links. Such great photos of Kentucky!

We must be sharing the same weather system. We're expecting the same things. We probably should also expect a flooded barn :-(

Thanks, Summer - it is pretty.

Barrie, good to hear from you and thank you so much for including me in the MTM. I used to do that all the time, and need to get back to it!

Debra, yes, I think we do share similar patterns. It has been a pinch warmer here, but we'll equal out in temps soon.

The "farm" recently acquired a cow and most of the volunteers/employees seem to be afraid of her, but she really is the sweetest thing ever. Loves to have her throat rubbed and to be brushed. Gertie is her name.
