It seems to be butterfly and moth season, and this purple sedum is attracting all kinds of insects. The above creature appears to be a Peck's Skipper.We also have a "butterfly tree". The tree must be oozing sap and insects from velvet ants, horseflies, bees to the most beautiful butterflies are collecting there. I've seen, but yet to photograph, several colorful swallowtails. I believe this guy below to be an Admiral butterfly. We are collecting photos for our science folder.
