N.a.s.t.y.
I'm proud of you, though.
Blech. Looking back, I guess it was somewhat cruel, but when I was a kid we used to pour salt on them and watch them writhing around.
Always hated slugs, but used to love playing with snail that had shells. We'd have snail races.
in an early bonding moment, my daughter (about 10 at the time) and wife (daughter's step-mom) went through her garden of hostas and pulled out the most massive slugs I ever saw. They call them banana slugs I think, and several of them were easily 8-10 inches long. Well, it was either the hostas or the slugs, so next thing I knew, there was hysterical laughter coming from the yard. I looked out to find that several of the unfortunate creatures had been tossed into the street where of course cars were smashing them mercilessly. good times
Gross, Mark. I agree with Janie and Pita, it is not my favorite creature. They do make good chicken food.
