Post 995: Ten Things About Me

You'll notice the list is 11 items long. One is not true. Do you know which one?

1. I am a brown belt in tae kwon do.
2. I have a degree in Chemical Engineering.
3. I was once a gymnast.
4. I got lost hiking and ended up hiking six miles instead of two.
5. I have always dreamed of becoming a pilot.
6. I have seen "David" and the "Mona Lisa" in person.
7. I like big dogs best, the bigger the better, yet I have toy breeds.
8. I know more about raising chickens than a person should.
9. I once owned and showed a Saddlebred horse.
10. I was once in charge of a department in a factory that made powdered and liquid detergent.
11. I dream of writing a book and living by water.

I'm going with #3, but honestly, I'd be willing to believe any of them. lol

hmm. I don't remember 3 about you as a kid (assuming you don't mean you were a gymnast in your 20s) :-)

I'm leaning toward 5 though.

Now you have to let us know eventually...

I'm guessing #6 or #3.

I will reveal the answer after I give a little more time for people to join in. I will give the winner three handmade greeting cards featuring my daughter's oil painting.

All of these things about me are true with the exception of #5: I have not always wanted to be a pilot. In middle school and at the height of the space age, I thought I might be a female astronaut, which generally means you must become a pilot. The ensuing space disasters changed my focus quickly. Still, I thought it might be "cool" and show my "stuff" to be a pilot. Dh had a computer program called "Chuck Yager's Flight Simulator" which was very primitive, yet it made me dizzy and disoriented. I guess it was then I decided I couldn't do it. That, and having kids.

So, Mark, and Miss Cleo. Email junosmom@insightbb.com with your address and I will send you some small greeting cards featuring Anna's artwork, for you are correct.

As for #1 and #3, the most popular disbeliefs, I do hold a brown belt (sometimes this would be a red belt depending on the dojo) in tae kwon do. I was in gymnastics for about 3 years in middle school. Okay it may be a stretch to say "I was a gymnast" for I wasn't competitive, but it did change my flexiblity and strength for life and I considered it part of who I was. It was very important to me for a time. So there you have it. Sometime, I do a more creative list.
