So laughing at this one. In addition to my large piece of luggage we call a purse, I carry a bag very similar to yours, only mine is plain, no color or advertisement on it.
My little bag carries my ipod, a book to read, an extra pen, mints, lip balm, sometimes my cellphone, sometimes my lunch. Obviously I don't carry it into stores, but back and forth to work, babysitting gigs, the pool.
I think you're in good company!
